According to most, the main rise of the Arab Spring happened in 2011, though there was more history behind the reason. The Jewish population in Europe had no home in the middle east and they believed that they are the chosen people of the “holy land.” Due to the British Rule over the Arab region it was fairly easy to persuade them to regain control over Israel. One famous Jewish scientist from the Rockefeller family, being very wealthy and powerful, had come up with a formula for synthetic rubber that would ultimately help the Brits win World War II, he had presented this idea to Lord Arthur Balfour, and he had then agreed to give the Jews that land in Israel, this was called the “Balfour Declaration.”
A lot of refugees come from escaping the country because of the fear they get by watching their neighbors getting bombed and killed. One of the main terrorist groups participating in the middle east is the ISIS or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. ISIS was a part of Al-Qaeda which is also a well known terrorist group. In 2013, the group of Al-Qaeda in Iraq rebranded as ISIS. The conflict grew between ISIS and Al-Qaeda and at February 2014, they finally became separated. The ISIS is headed by a guy called Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. As it is stated in their name ISIS, they are mostly participating around Syria and Iraq. These are the participation of ISIS which caused lots of refugees from the past until now:
Syrian Civil War and Iraq War (2003-2011)
Iraqi insurgency
Second Libyan Civil War
Boko Haram insurgency
War in North-West Pakistan
Yemeni Civil War
The second terrorist organization is called the 'Houthis'. It's not well known as ISIS but, still it's one of the biggest terrorist group in Yemen. It also represents the huge conflict between Shia and the Sunni Muslims that has been existed from the past. The name 'Houthis' comes from either Hussain Al-Houthi who was the founder of Houthis.
The Houthis are mostly made up of Shia Muslims which is the second large sect of Islam. There was a war between the two major groups from the past and it has been continued until today. Houthis as the representative of Shia Muslims and the Yemeni government is the representative for Sunni Muslims. As a result of this the Houthis started attacking the cities in Yemen to take control of the country. This war and terror made the people in Yemen frightened a caused a lot of refugees.
On 21 September, the Houthis took control of Sanaa, after which Prime Minister Mohammed Basindawa resigned and the Houthis signed a deal for a new unity government with other political parties.
On May 27, Saudi-led airstrikes hit a police station in Sana, killing 45 officers. The Houthi controlled Ministry of Health announced that in total, 96 people were killed.
May 29th, for the first time, Saba news agency, which is controlled by the Houthis reported that their army had launched attacks against Saudi targets inside the Kingdom.
